Having hit my 200th win today. I have completed my quest and will now retire my screen name.

Not long after sitting back happy that I won't be bitching about this game for quite sometime and set upon looking on net for news I found this gem:

"EA has today announced an extension of its exclusive licensing relationships with the NFL and NFL Players to develop, publish and distribute interactive American Football games. EA has the rights to NFL teams, stadiums and players for its best-selling football video games through the end of the 2012 season - ends February 2013."

Great so we're all fucked now.

Same game every year in and year out. Same bullshit that never gets fixed. In all honesty I thought that once the old contract expired EA would get the heave ho by the NFL for exclusive use of the NFL brand and Madden would be forced to seriously redesign this garbage they pass off as innovative year after year.

Guess I was quite wrong.

One thing is for sure. EA will not get one more dime of my cash for any of the garbage they release in the future; especially for Madden. If EA were any other company their ass would be in court over anti-trust/monopoly lawsuits. Goes to show kids. Money rules everything.

So with that said, I guess this blog is pointless to update anymore. I've said what I had to say, and will move on with my other blogs and find something else to occupy my free time.

I won't be seeing you on the field.

Glitchers Best Friend

The shot above shows a picture of the glitcher's best friend. This is a shot from me vs the CPU just to give you an example. During real online gameplay this has become (in my eyes) one of the biggest problems in the game of Madden. The ability for the scrub to see what offensive set you're in. In this example you can see the offense has 3 wide receivers, 1 tight end, and 1 running back.

In other words, the offense is probably going to pass on this play.

My complaint? This gives these assholes an insight into your play calling because now all they have to do is sit back all game long to see what your calling. I've been playing online with Madden since 04 and this hasn't been removed yet, why? Year after year those of us who actually know how to call their own plays on both Offense and Defense have to put up with Madden's garbage and this is one thing that could be removed from the online gaming to help cut down on the cheesers. The only down that the opposing player should ever see what you've called is 4th down.

Why the fuck is this so hard to fix in Madden? Don't these assholes at EA know that people have been taking advantage of this all along? There isn't anything more annoying to me (other than stall glitcher's and end gamer's) than a scrub that can't figure out how to adjust their defensive play without Madden telling them (with commentary on) (Or with "Ask Madden") and via the status screen in between plays what the person they're playing has called.

Let them figure it out on their own. Why is it year after year this crutch hasn't been removed yet? In real life does the opposing teams offensive coach yell over to the other sideline what play he's setting up for? No, didn't think so.

You have to start wondering if some assknot at EA gets enjoyment out of watching str8 players put up with this garbage year in and year out.

I've had this one guy on my messenger list for about a month. I came across his name in a play now session and judging by his record and his very high level I figured he was a big time cheater. I won't name him here because he'll just deny it anyways, so what's the point.

At any rate, originally I was going to just play him unranked since I knew he'd probably end game me if I was going to win.

So fast forward to tonight. I was bored sitting around and hopped onto Madden and he was on. So I figured fuck it. I sent him a message/game invite and we started a game.

He took two very long pauses in the beginning of the game. Which was my first sign of things to come. I started off my first drive and put up my first 7. And then it went back and forth. Until late in the 3rd quarter when I was about to tie the game up and all of a sudden. Bloop, continue vs CPU came up. I knew even if I beat the CPU I wouldn't get the game counted. I finished off the CPU and won 24-17 and of course I didn't get the win.

The guy had the nerve to message me after asking why I end gamed him and where his win was. (Right next to his sportsmanship)

You gotta love this shit. They cheat you and have the balls to ask stupid shit like that. I didn't realize it until after but he was ranked inside the top 200 on Madden 2008. Only goes to show kids. Rank means nothing, and I mean nothing in this game.

Madden & Google

Usually after getting my winning streaks blown by assholes with no concept of what it means to actually play fair, I come online and use google to see if I can find other people just as equally frustrated by the garbage players online as I am. It helps me to feel that I'm not alone in the world of knowing that I know more about football strategy than these stalling/glitching pussies.

I've noticed something quite odd. Google doesn't really show you many people that are bitching. Could it be that nobody is complaining? Somehow I highly doubt it. My guess is some marketing nerd over at EA is blowing someone at google to get the bad PR hits yanked off of google's servers. I've noticed it with my little blog here. I'll google my own search terms to see how far in the results my posts rank.

So what gives? Is google really censoring what we all know is the truth?

Try it, do a search for madden glitches, cheats, end game, etc on google and see what it shows you as a result. Most of the time you'll see some posts in a forum from the 2004 version of the game. (Even when searching with the term "2008," in your search.)

Open Letter To EA Games & Tiburon

To EA Games & Tiburon,

As someone who's been buying games since the mid 80's I am going to say something that should have been said a long time ago to both of you.

Fix your shit, or stop making Madden.

As someone who wastes 60 bucks of their hard earned cash every year on your shitty product I'm going to say what the rest of us have been feeling. When you purchase a game it comes with bugs. Sure we're not all stupid. We expect that. Nobody is perfect. But every year we've come to expect the same line of garbage from you people. End game glitcher's, line pullers, and code exploits. Enough is enough. Unless I hear an outright apology from your companies before Madden 09 comes out with a promise to return for a full refund if not satisfied, I will not be purchasing your game again. We've all given you enough time to get your act together. When I outright see people message me that I should "Just take it," when they are line pulling and glitching me. Enough is enough.

There are millions of us who love the game of football. We take it very seriously and when we play a game that is supposed to be enjoyed only to find somebody is screwing your game's code like a cheap whore, we have to ask the questions of why the fuck hasn't it been fixed yet?

How many years do you think we're all going to swallow it? I was VERY reluctant to buy 08 in the first place. But was "assured," this would be the best Madden yet.The only thing I'm sure of is that I got fucked again this year without lube.

Want a suggestion? Make people have to actually sign up to play the game online if they want to play their copy on the internet against other players. I mean REALLY sign up. Real address, real name, real identifiers. What does this do? Well if you find that someone is abusing the game you can cut them off outright. Problem solved. No more of the "make another screen name and start over," crap.

Your account locking works well on anyone who curses someone out after getting cheated but fails to place the people who cheat year in and year out on the sidelines where they belong. Why? Start banning accounts from the source. If I want to buy the game and play it online why should I have to wonder EVERY GAME if I'm going to get a fair match? I'm tired of trying to beat your shitty game's exploits, lag, and abusive users. I just tried 5 different times to play a fair game tonight. Guess how many of them went fair? ZERO. That's how many.

Enough is enough.

Fix your shit, or stop selling it to us. Give up the license to a game company that respects the game and the people who want to play it THE RIGHT WAY.

Funny Now?

So I've been having trouble getting games with people lately. It seems when you get above 100 wins on a name people are scared off. Sometimes with good reason. The truth is that I have quite a lot of losses too. I'm above 500, but if you saw my record you wouldn't think I could play as good as I can. I'm not the best in the game but I am better than your average Joe. Most of my losses came from glitchers/end gamers

I end up playing a game tonight with a person with a 49-125 record. And of course they wants to use the Patriots. (NEWSFLASH: There are other teams in the game)

So I start the game and get my offense ready to go. I look up from behind center and see he/she's running around like a retard with their middle linebacker. Up and down, around in circles. And I'm kind of puzzled why he/she would be doing this. But after the next play or two I realize it's on purpose. Now I don't know about you as a gamer, but this is total disrespect to a serious gamer. I stumble on my first drive and end up punting. The circle tart starts his/her offense and of course here comes the Randy Bomb into the middle of 3 guys and moss of course catches it. This goes on until about 2 minutes later they finally score. They're up 7-0 on me. I get the ball back and quickly return the favor and tie it up (with him/her still doing circles with their linebacker) 7-7.

They get the ball back and nothing new here. Randy bomb. And again, and again. Eventually they go up 14-7. I get the ball back and tie it up 14-14. This time it's the 2nd quarter and less than 45 seconds left in the half. I'm about to drive the ball in on a run. And of course the game decides to make it more fun by making me fumble, and even more fun by not letting me challenge the fumble or the booth automatically reviewing it. So at halftime it's 14-14.

3rd quarter I get the ball back and try to slow the game down figuring that if the game isn't going to allow me to stop moss's ridiculous catches, I have to limit the amount of time this scrub gets to do this. I take a nice slow drive and score 21-14 me.
(he/she's still running in circles)

As much as I hate to do it my next defensive stand I go into prevent and blitz a linebacker from time to time just so I have at least 4 guys on moss. It pays off and I pick off the miracle throw.

I start my next drive and score going up 28-14. (he/she's not running in circles anymore)

They get the ball back and they still haven't learned their lesson. Another pick for me and I get the ball back and score again. 35-14. (Going into the 4th quarter)

I stop and pause the game and message them if it's "Funny now." They didn't reply.

In the end I win 49-14.

A lesson for you scrubs that pick the Patriots because you have no idea how to complete a pass without moss. Don't piss me off by acting like a fool/clown. I will stomp you a new one.

So, You're A Level 18?

Last night I had the great pleasure of playing a scrub with an inflated level 18 record. He was using my favorite team to play against. The scrub-rots. Let's just say I haven't lost to the Patriots in a long long while. So what did this guy do? Here's the gist.

Start of game: He pauses.

Must be calling audibles right, he wouldn't need to cheat while using the Patriots right?

Stallworth now on returns.

Game starts.

His second pause. (Don't know why he paused twice probably to run a cheat of some sort)

I call a timeout.

I stop his return for nominal yardage and settle back in my defense expecting the usual Randy bomb. Here we go. 5 wide, motion motion, motion motion, snap. Bomb. Incomplete. He kept doing this until I made him punt on a 3 and out.

I get the ball and start running my opening drive. Take it all the way down the field and score my TD after a good 3 minute drive; using more than ONE guy on my team.

He gets the ball back. He pauses the game again.

Comes back in 5 wide again, motion motion, motion motion, snap; another incompletion series. He punts again. So It's 7 nothing me going into the 2nd quarter and I'm driving with less than a minute running the clock and out think him and toss it out to my running back who's heading right for the corner of the endzone for 7 points. This is when the game went into stutter stutter mode. I have been playing madden for many years but this line pull beats all the others hands down. I get tackled at the half yard line. I take my 3 points and go into the half 10 nothing. He has 0 yards of offense for the 1st and 2nd quarter. That is something I've never done to someone before. I get the ball back in the 3rd, and now I can't complete a pass due to the lag/linepulling; and of course now he's still bombing away to moss. He completes a few and finally I pick him off.

Fast forward to the 4th quarter. I'm up 13-0 and he still hasn't scored and I've now forced him to use ALL his timeouts. I run the clock down on the 1st down and sit back and wait for what I know is coming next. (Note: if you find yourself in this position against someone with a record like this DO NOT throw the ball unless you really have to. The chances are high that you'll get line lagged and toss an INT.

Quit/End game.

Gee surprise here.

Somehow I was able to get the win due to the score.

Just goes to show you that EA's ratings system is a joke and that guy with the "Great," level is more than likely a line pulling scrub with nothing upstairs.

Ended Streaks

Well for a rarity, I had a 22 game winning streak going on with Madden 2008. For about a week and a half I played 99% str8 players. I got a few small timer cheaters in the mix but for the most part I took care of business. What I found was that once I got my levels I was only getting serious BS records to play when I hit play now. I'd sit there for 20 minutes trying to find someone with a sensible record to play. Not level 18's or 15's with records that you know are fake. Sorry assholes there isn't any way you've got to be 200 wins and 10 losses, it's impossible.

Tonight of course a douche ruined it for me. I'm sorry I can't defend catches out of bounds. That play is missing in my defensive playbook. And when the challenge disappears off your menu you know something is wrong. The give away is the ball spinning at the top of your screen when they kick their extra point.

Therein lies the problem with Madden online. Reporting the garbage players doesn't matter because these assholes just make up a new name and start over with their bullshit. In the end straight players like me are left with the hope that we'll get a fair game once in awhile against someone that actually understands how to call plays and not just find a couple of glitches to use every single down.

I mean what is the point? Do these fucking people actually think they've accomplished something? Are these the same people that cheated on their tests in school; if they even went to school? There isn't anything to be proud of about an inflated record when you know you didn't play fair to get it. If you think you're good because you can motion glitch the shit out of someone with 5 wide and line pull? You need to be beaten with your controller.

Again I come back to the point of why year after year we buy this garbage and hope it gets better. It doesn't. About a million straight players need to boycott this garbage game and EA to teach them a lesson for one year. The only thing these bitches at these companies understand is their bottom line. Hit them in their wallet. I put off buying 08 because I knew in the back of my mind they probably didn't fix their code yet. And like a fool I once again fell for the talk that 08 would be better than the other years. Thanks for lying to me again EA. Keep empowering the assholes to cheat with your fake ass ranking system.

Ya'll Still Can't Bring It

Just for the fuck of it I decided to try and use the Browns online and see how they'd match up. The fucked up thing is that most people online were so fucking cheezy that they needed to glitch them. How gay is your game when you are the Patriots playing the Cleveland Browns and need to cheat? If you read this and you are somebody that has done this, you need to go take a stroll out in traffic and step in front of a bus because you have no life.

The funny thing was the one game that I used the Browns on I almost won despite the asshole that was cheating his ass off. I had his lame ass on the last play of the game until the prick pulled his cord as my tight end was about to catch the game winning TD.

My guess is he'd probably end game me if I would have managed to beat the lag, his cheats, and his lame D.

One thing I've become completely disgusted with is something that would even up Madden online. Most of these cheaters don't know how to call a defense without knowing what you're calling by the screen showing them your formation before each play. They'll sit back and just wait to see what you call. (Yeah I know I could just run in the same sets and change it up but that's bullshit) If EA had a clue they would remove this feature from online gaming except on 4th down so the honest players actually have a bit of an edge against the people who don't know how to call a defensive play. Hmmmm there's a concept right? Oh I forgot this is about money not decent programming.

Oh and to that douche I beat by 1 point last night with 4 seconds left in the game. If you find this blog, just remember you got owned despite your asshole attempts at cheating me out of my win. Put that in your pipe and smoke it fool.

For All You End Game Chumps

Well again tonight I got gagged out of 3 wins from sad ass motherfuckers that have no concept of fair game. One of these games I was winning 26-0 and stopped to offer a mercy kill to them. Only after this I ended up with a loss. Good going EA really a big quality product you're offering now. People need to start getting their asses beat in person for this shit to stop. Maybe after a few news stories of people getting stomped? For all you motherfuckers that think this shit is funny? Let's see you all smiling when you're drinking from a straw.

To all of you who end game people, you need to take a good look in the mirror. If you can't compete don't play. STOP WASTING PEOPLE'S TIME. You are fucking weak pieces of shit with no life.

The Art Of One Play

For some gamers who actually know how to call more than one play from their playbook Madden online seems to have hundreds of losers that do two things. Call the same offensive play over and over, and the same defensive play on EVERY play. While some gamers would say this makes beating these tools easier I disagree. It's not a matter of whether or not you beat them. You're stuck in a game with someone with the intellectual equivalent of a hamster for 45 minutes. As the person who plays someone like this you have to do two things. One, don't let them get a lead, and two use every second on the clock and get your first downs. This deters them from thinking they'll just win by glitching you later in the game.

What I've found is that if you get up more than 10 points on these people you will either get your win, they'll quit, or you'll get end gamed for your trouble. I played someone today that used the redskins and did nothing but two plays. Counter left from Portis and bomb to Moss. That was it. No matter if I called a prevent or not Moss seemed to be on the juice and just ran past 4 guys each time. I can't defend this no matter what I call. All I can do is muddle through the game and try to get ahead but in the back of my mind I know that no matter how well I play I'll never truly get ahead if I can't stop a bomb with 4 guys defending a deep zone. The setback is that if you let one of these scrubs get up on you they will stay back in prevent for the rest of the game. From the 1st quarter on. In real life, you should be able to run for 15 yards every play without being touched. But somehow the redskin's linebackers took on speed and caught Westbrook every time. Maybe this had something to do with the excessive pause this guy called at the start of the game.

Worse yet people that play this way actually THINK they are good.

A good majority of these guys are also holders of records without losses.

Why Madden Online Sucks ~ Intro

It's pretty bad when you have to create a blog just to complain about a video game.

I've been playing Madden online for years now and it has become clear that EA Sports and Tiburon cannot make a game worth fuck anymore. Year after year the honest players (suckers) keep thinking that they'll be able to buy a game free of the cheesers and outright cheaters. But year after year it doesn't happen.

It must take real skill for some coward to pull on their Ethernet cord or substitute glitch the shit out of someone just to win a game. Obviously these assholes can't do anything fair in real life so they have to win the only way they know how. Cheat.

The simple fundamentals of football don't matter to them. They obviously would never pass for a student of the real game because we all know that bombing the ball down the field all game long wouldn't happen in real life when you have 7 guys in the secondary waiting for the pass to come zipping on out there. But to the low life cheaters this is normal, with a simple yank of the cord all is well in loser land. They have no questions about calling the same plays over and over again. And when they run into someone like me that starts kicking the holy fuck out of them? They resort to the only thing that saves their tired pussy asses; END GAME GLITCH.

What does EA do to stop any of this? Absolutely fucking nothing. And why should they? They've already got your cash who gives a fuck about actually listening to their customers anymore. That would require effort and understanding. And when you have made countless millions off a shitty product who really cares right?

The NFL has given the license to EA to continue making Madden the sole owner of NFL gaming/naming rights. This means you and I (honest gamers) are stuck with this garbage until that period is up. (Another 2 years)

At any rate, this is just the start of a blog that will continue to be my sounding board for bitching about the assholes that ruined this once great game.
